Probe continues after girl (3) drowns in a pool on The Bluff

The child drowned in the pool at her home on The Bluff.

INVESTIGATIONS are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of a three-year-old girl from The Bluff.
Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said an inquest docket was opened at Brighton Beach police station for further investigation.
Although the information surrounding the drowning is sketchy, it is alleged that the child was with the helper at home when the incident happened on April 19.
Spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Garrith Jamieson said when the paramedics arrived, people who had already gathered were attempting to resuscitate the child.
“Advanced Life Support Paramedics quickly took over resuscitation efforts, however the little girl showed no signs of life.
“At this stage the events leading up to the incident are unknown, however the police were on the scene and will be investigating further,” said Jamieson.
Attempts to get comment from the child’s family were unsuccessful at the time of publishing.
