When asked about his journey, Rylee attributed it to his rigorous training regimen, the support of his coaches, family and his determination to excel.
“I’m thrilled to have achieved these milestones but I’m not satisfied yet,” he said. “I’m working hard to improve my skills and make my country, school, dojo and family proud,” he said.
Rylee praised Shihan Craig Pillay, Renshi Brando Pillay and Sensei Njabulo Khumalo for the mentorship, hours of training, guidance and for affording him opportunities to showcase his talent.
“To my parents and family, thank you for always believing in me and supporting my dreams,” he added.
