Blue Bundu Brigade calls on community’s support with fundraisers

The Blue Bundu Brigade is offering some fun and exciting ways you can enjoy yourself while serving the animal community.

BLUE Bundu Brigade Animal Rescue and Rehoming are asking for the community’s help to keep their important work going. The organisation is currently running two major fundraisers that offer community members a chance to win amazing prizes as well as do good by supporting the non-profit organisation’s work.

Karen Janisch, a director at the organisation, said that raising money is super important for them to keep doing what they do.

“As a non-profit, people’s kindness is what keeps us going. Every ticket that’s bought and every bit of support we get helps with food, treatment and general care for the dogs that come to us. Without the community, we just couldn’t do it,” she explained.

Rocking for Paws

The first fundraiser is the Rocking for Paws – Big Top Rock Circus Rock Show, happening at the Barnyard Suncoast on March 29. Expect a fun afternoon with live circus acts like pole and trapeze performances, all set to the music of famous rock artists such as Elvis Presley, AC/DC, Def Leppard and Prince. Tickets cost R280 for adults and R150 for children under 12. Janisch said they will also be selling raffle tickets and cupcakes to earn even more for the animals. All funds raised will also go towards Bluff Rescue Kennels.

Month of Love raffle

Besides the live show, Blue Bundu Brigade has started the Month of Love raffle where people could win a Rescue Roast hamper. The prize includes two bags of Rescue Roast coffee, two mugs, two coasters and a container of Bag of Wags treats for pets. A raffle entry costs R20.

“We take care of animals that have been mistreated, abused or abandoned. We want to give them another shot at a good life in a home where they will be loved. Every bit of money we get helps us give them medicine, food and a safe place to stay while they wait to be adopted,” said Janisch.

She added that they are thankful for all the support they have already received from the community.

Supporting the organisation:

To buy tickets for either of the fundraisers you can make a direct deposit into the organsation’s FNB account (account number 63129488284) with the reference being the fundraiser and your name. Proof of payment must be sent to Janisch on WhatsApp on 062 436 8810.
