ALFRED DUMA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY: DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT, PLANNING AND HUMAN SETTLEMENTS INVITATION FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS ON AN APPLICATION PREPARED IN TERMS OF THE SPATIAL PLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT ACT (NO. 16 OF 2013) AND THE ALFRED DUMA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY SPATIAL PLANNING AND LAND USE MANAGEMENT BYLAWS OF 2017. Notice is hereby given that an application has been made to the Alfred Duma Local Municipality in terms of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act (No. 16 of 2013) and the Alfred Duma Local Municipality Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Bylaws of 2017. The application is for the following purpose:
•Consent Application on Remainder of Erf 574, Ladysmith (CBD) to establish a Car Wash in terms of Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act (No. 16 of 2013) and the Alfred Duma Local Municipality Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Bylaws of 2017. The property is located at 37/43 Willis Street, Illings (CBD)
•Remainder of Erf 574, Ladysmith and the co-ordinates for the site is as follows: REMAINDER OF ERF 574, LADYSMITH: – Latitude: – 28`.55` 31.36` S – Longitude: 29`.79` 03.25` E A copy of the application and its accompanying documents will be open for inspection by interested members of the public between the office hours of 07h30 to 16h10 Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays) at the Town Planning Unit, 2nd Floor, 29 Keate Street, Ladysmith, 3370. Any person having sufficient interest in the application may lodge written comments with the Senior Manager: Development Planning, Mr. S.Z Buthelezi, at 29 Keate Street, Ladysmith 3370, or by e-mail to SZButhelezi@alfredduma.gov.za or Vwnkosi@alfredduma.gov.za within 30 Days from the date of the advert commencing from 11 September 2026 and the closing date for any comments will be 12 October 2026.
