NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) AND WULA APPLICATION PROCESSES FOR
EMEKA GENERAL TRADING PTY LTD, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FILLING STATION NOTICE is hereby given in terms of the following EIA – Regulation 40 to 44 of the EIA Regulations 2014 promulgated in terms of the National Environmental Management Act 1998
(Act no.107 of 1998) and the NWA 36 of 1998).
ACTIVITY AND LOCATION: `The proposed development entails a Filling station with a combined fuel storage capacity of 276 m3 (276 000 `) as following: 2 x 46 000 litres 50 ppm diesel, 2 x 46 000 litres of 95 Unleaded Petrol and 2 x 46 000 litres of 93 Leaded petrol all underground storage tanks (UST). In addition, Parking bays, site office and a convenient shop. The development is located on portion 28 of the farm Voerspoed 458 KS within the Capricorn district Municipality, Limpopo province. The total development area covers 5000m2 with geographical coordinates: S 240 17`48. 81“ and E 290 27` 59.74“ EIA APPLICATION: Environmental Authorization is required for the following triggered activities that need a Basic Assessment process:
GN R.327 Listing Notice 1, Activity 14: *`The development and related operation of facilities or infrastructure, for the storage, or for the storage and handling, of a dangerous good, where such storage occurs in containers with a combined capacity of 80 cubic metres or more but not exceeding 500 cubic metres.“
