•2031): REGISTRATION OF ORGANISATIONS. Notice is hereby given that in terms of the Local Government Municipal Structures Act of 1998 (Act No. 117 of 1998), read in conjunction with the Local Government Municipal Systems Act of 2000 (Act No. 32 of 2000), and also the Council Policy on the Establishment and Operations of Ward Committees (2024),` the Newcastle Municipality (KZN252) wishes to inform you of its intension to embark on a process of establishing a database for all social and business sectors within the municipality`s jurisdiction. The main purpose for the database is for Utilisation during the process of electing Ward Committees in 2026. According to Section 7(c) of the Council Policy on the establishment and operations of Ward Committees, `the election of Ward Committees shall take place on sectoral basis.` Therefore, the Newcastle Local Municipality hereby invites all interested and affected stakeholders ranging from the Farmers, Ratepayers and Business Associations, CBOs, NGOs, NPOs, Disability, Youth, Women & Men Organizations, including Faith Based Organizations to enlist their particulars for membership in the sector organizations data base of the Newcastle Local Municipality. The application forms will be obtained from the Newcastle Local Municipality Civic Centre (Tower Block), 37 Murchison Street, 7th Floor, Office B718 as from Friday the 7th of September 2026. completed application forms must be accompanied by the constitution of the organization, and the minutes of the meetings held NOT longer than six (3) months. These must be hand delivered to the above-mentioned office. The closing date for the acceptance of completed application forms is Friday the 09th of October 2026 @ 14H00.
