Details of applications, Activities, and Water Uses Triggered Notice is hereby given in terms of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act (Act No.28 of 2002) (MPRDA), that Re Tshepeng Holdings (Pty)Ltd has applied for a Mining Permit and would like to engage the local property owners, Interested and Affected Parties in respect of activities proposed on the Farm Driefontein 850 IR, 5 km from Germiston in the East Rand District Municipality, Gauteng Province of South Africa . Project Proposal Re Tshepeng Holdings (Pty)Ltd intends to mine various minerals on the Farm Driefontein 850 IR, 5 km from Germiston .The resource will be extracted via opencast roll over mining. The Mining Permit activity triggers a Basic Assessment (BA) in terms of the NEMA regulations, which will be undertaken as part of the Environmental Authorization Application Process. A Basic Assessment Report (BAR) will be available for review for 30 days from the 17th of August 2026 to 17th of September 2026 . Reports will be made available electronically upon request Opportunity to Participate As part of the public participation process, the public is provided a 30-day period from 17th of August 2026 to 17th of September 2026 to register as an Interested and Affected Party (I&AP) and review and comment on the application.
