RBIDZ SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE RICHARDS BAY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ZONE SOC LTD TENDER NOTICE Tenders are hereby invited for the Works included in the following Contract which is to be implemented by the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd (RBIDZ). It is estimated that only Tenderers who are registered with the CIDB as Grade 5CE or higher Contractors shall be eligible to Tender for: TENDER NO. 1A/ZDO/038/26: MAINTENANCE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE IN PHASE 1A Tender documents together will be available as from 31 August 2026 to 10 September 2026 and will be emailed upon an indication of interest and submission of proof of payment of the tender charge from the prospective tenderer. A non- refundable cash payment of R500.00 paid into the RBIDZ`s bank account, namely Absa, Branch Code: 632005 Account No.: 4072219190. Proof of Payments should be emailed to tenders@rbidz.co.za. No Tender documents will be sold after 10:30 am on the date of the compulsory briefing meeting. Tenders are to be completed in accordance with the conditions attached to the documents and must be sealed and endorsed with the relevant Contract number and must be personally deposited in the official Tender box at the RBIDZ, RBIDZ Complex, 4 Harbour Arterial, Alton, Richards Bay not later than 12:00 on 29 September 2026, at which time Tenders will be opened in public. A compulsory briefing meeting and site inspection will be conducted by the RBIDZ on 10 September 2026 at 11:00 on site at RBIDZ Phase 1A Zone, GPS 2846`43.58`S, 323`56.48`E). The Employer will not be available for inspection purposes on any other occasion. Tenderers are required to bring their Tender documents to the site inspection for signature. Tenderers without original Tender documents and Tenderers with original documents arriving after 11:00 will not be allowed to attend the briefing meeting. Tenderers are to bring along their own PPE and without PPE there will be no entry allowed to site. All queries relating to this Tender and documents must be forwarded via email to tenders@rbidz.co.za. Tenders will first be evaluated in terms of functionality, and thereafter price and preference on an 80/20 system as contemplated in the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act and must score a minimum of 60% on functionality to be considered further in terms of price and preference. Tenderers who do not obtain the minimum functionality scoring will be regarded as non-responsive that will lead to the disqualification of the Tender Submission. It is a condition of tender that only tenderers that are EMEs or QSEs and are B-BBEE Level 1 shall be eligible to tender. It is also a condition of Tender that a Tenderer makes provision for involving emerging contractors through a competitive process from the RBIDZ list of pre-qualified emerging contractors. The RBIDZ is not bound to accept the lowest price, highest scoring or any Tender and reserves the right to accept or not to accept any Tender in whole or part thereof. The RBIDZ reserves the right to appoint a Tenderer that best meets the requirements of the company on reasonable grounds. Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, electronic, e- mailed and late Tenders will not be accepted.
