ERECTING MACHINE TECHNICIAN – MPACT Position: Erecting Machine Technician Division: Corrugated Site: Nelspruit (Groblersdal Area) Department: Sales Grade: CL Mpact Corrugated Nelspruit is seeking a skilled and customer focussed Erecting Machine Technician to join our Customer Services Team in the Groblersdal area. This field service role requires strong technical expertise combined with hight-level customer interaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all erecting machines
•both at customer pack houses and at our erecting centre
•operate efficiently, reliably and at peak performance. Qualifications:
•Matric certificate
•Trade test certificate essential – Millwright qualification preferred
•Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
•Proven experience in a field service or maintenance role
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
•Willingness to travel within the Mpumalanga and Limpopo areas Job Requirements:
•Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on erecting machines *` Attend to breakdowns and urgent repairs in the field
•Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding
•Relocate machines between pack houses according to seasonal requirements *` Manage size changes and machine adjustments for different carton specifications
•Work closely with pack house staff to ensure machines are always production-ready
•Collaborate with machine operators to maintain cleanliness and uphold preventative maintenance standards
•Provide professional, solution-orientated customer service at all times
•This position follows the seasonal schedules of pack house operations, which may result in variable working hours. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work overtime, as well as weekends and public holidays, in line with operational requirements.
•Must have a valid driver`s license
•Must have own tool box
•Must be able to speak English and Afrikaans fluently
•Candidates must undergo a Psychometric Assessment
