NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT PROCESS PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS
Notice is hereby given to all Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) and relevant stakeholders of the availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) for public review and comment in respect of the proposed Mining Right Application described below:
The public participation process is undertaken in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended (NEMA), the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014, as amended, and the applicable provisions of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (Act No. 28 of 2002), as amended (MPRDA) of the intent to carry out an Environmental Impact Assessment (Listing Notice 2 of 2017 – GNR 325, Amended GNR 517: 2021 (Activity 15 and 17) in Gazette no. 40772 to carry out the above- mentioned activity.
