EDITOR – Sincere thanks for all the kind messages of condolences which I received on the death of my mother, Flo Abramson on 25 January.
It was heartwarming to realise how much part of the community she had become since coming to live with me in Yellowwood Park 10 years ago.
She was respected and loved by senior citizens, women’s institute, Montclair library, Yellowwood Conservancy and the ratepayers association. She was blessed to live 91 years.
Grateful thanks too, to so many members of the community for the messages of support and good wishes when I had a total hip replacement on 16 February. I am well on the way to recovery and wish to inform everyone that I will be working from home at 47 Pigeon Drive, Yellowwood Park or am available on 082-923-0842, 031-462-3038 or 031-462-9584 or email billie@saol.com. It’s business as usual.
Members of the community are most welcome to let me know whether they require a special vote at their home for the upcoming elections as I now have the application forms for this service from the IEC.
