I would like to congratulate Duncan du Bois for his amazing and well researched articles of the neighbourhood.

I personally have always wondered where the name ‘Kenyon Howden’ came from?

I was quite amused by his recent article about the Bluff in 1877, particularly the phrase: “The only landward point of access is round the head of the bay along ‘rough, tangled and tortuous roads’.”

Somehow I think those roads still apply today, how many years later?
