Take responsibility for your straying pets

With the upcoming “fireworks” celebrations, I suspect an increased number of “stray” animals roaming around waiting to be rescued by the SPCA.

EDITOR – I notice cats and dogs walking on roads and pavements on a daily basis on the Bluff.

This is surprising, considering many homes are fenced.

Are these animals coming from other suburbs or are owners not taking responsibility for their pets? Dogs especially rip open bin bags, bark at passersby and mess up the streets.

With the upcoming fireworks celebrations, I suspect an increased number of stray animals will be roaming around, waiting to be rescued by the SPCA.

I appeal to all pet owners to take responsibility for their pets and keep them inside your yards. Let’s not wait for fireworks celebrations to highlight the plight of animals. Let’s make Bluff a better place for all.
