Quiet week at Wentworth BC

The sportsman prize went to Dirk Venter and Ann Bonthrone.

RESULTS for family and friends fun bowls played at Wentworth Bowling Club on Wednesday, 10 September:

First prize was won by Terry Micholson, Eilleen du Plessis and Bernadette Pool. The sportsman’s prize went to Dirk Venter and Ann Bonthrone.

Results for the Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls played on Friday, 12 September. First prize was won by Ken Kock, Allan Moore and Fred Andrew with + 13. Second prize went to Dirk Venter, Paul Steele and Dave Vincent. Colin Howes, Tomcat Cavanagh and Dave Mathews took the sportsman’s prize.

The pork raffle was won by Herbie Hoffman and Gerald Castor Royle won the beef. The first 60/40 board was won by Maria Cavanagh and Michelle Meilhon and the second board went to Ina Davies and Allen Ritchie.

The chicken run casual bowls starts on Sunday, 21 September at 9am. The format will be 2-4-2 any pairs, this is for all those bowlers who are not involved in any standing Sunday competitions.

The Wentworth /Bluff Teddy Bears challenge will be on 24 September at 9am. Go along and support this day at Wentworth Bowling Club.

Events for the next week: Tuesday, 16 September, bare feet bowls at 3.30pm, dress code casual and bowls are provided.

Wednesday, 17 September, Family and Friends fun bowls at 3pm, all new bowlers welcome, wear flat-soled shoes, bowls are available.

On Thursday, 18 September, bare feet bowls at 3.30pm, dress code casual and bowls are provided.

On Friday, 19 September, Bluff Meats men’s pensioners bowls at 9am.

The kitchen is open daily from Tuesdays to Sundays from 8am till 6pm. Breakfast, bar lunches and Sunday lunches are served. Call Ina Davies on 082-768-4644. Big screen TV for all the sports fanatics.
