Bluff athletes to carbo-load after time trials

Well done to everyone who did the East Coast radio big walk.

REMEGIUS Mkhize led Bluff Athletics Club’s 6.5km time trial pack home on Thursday, 18 May.

6.5km run: Remegius Mkhize 30.15, Justin Ellerro 35.35, Dennis Houston Mcmillan 35.50, Rob Lagane 35.50, Tony Webster 35.50, Freek Potgieter 35.50, Andrea Battaglia 35.50, Lincoln Noko 35.50, Gareth Hornby 35.50, Allan Mackenzie 35.50, Craig Smerdon 35.50.

4.7km run: Paul Murray 20.29, Sebastian Mckenzie 25.01, Tony Webster 25.08, Seth Addinall 26.40, Daniel Human 25.13, Carley Addinall 26.40, Kevin Adams 26.49, Caitlin Mckenzie 26.57, Flippie Niewenhuis 27.31, Dees Govender 28.45, Tina Nel 29.15, Kathy Murray 29.23, Sifiso 30.43, Justin Smith 32.38, Rudolf Mokoena 32.38, Bill Hogg 32.38, Ian England 35.14, Kelly England 35.37, Donne 35.37.

4.7km walk: Basil Kok 28.57, Paulos Shoba 39.20, Lionel Stolls 42.53.

Well done to everyone who completed the East Coast Radio Big Walk. On Tuesdays, there is a 10km from Fynnlands Combined Sports Club at 5.45pm, followed by Thursday’s time trial which starts at the Bluff Golf Club at 5.45pm. This week, a bring and share pasta or braai will follow time trials. Take along a pasta to share or your meat to braai. Fires will be lit after time trials so stay and enjoy a social evening.

The club urges athletes to to wear light-coloured clothing, reflective vests or lights to ensure maximum visibility while out running.
