First time player takes the win for Bluff pensioner golfers

Any pensioner golfer with or without handicaps is welcome to join

A SMALL field of golfing pensioners gathered to play an individual stableford competitionon Tuesday, 9 April.

The winner was new player, Magnet Ntombela, on 34 points with two of the players being first time golfers. There was no winner for the two club pool which has been carried over.

Any pensioner golfer with or without handicaps is welcome to join the vibrant over 55 golfers at the Bluff National Golf Club. Peter Riddle, who oversees the playing of social golf among those aged over 55 years, said it is a great way for pensioners to get together and socialise. A handicap will be determined after five scores and only then will you qualify to be included in the competition.

Members gather weekly and enjoy competitions which encourages them to improve their game. New participants of 55-years and older with or without handicaps or members of a club, but aren’t necessarily Bluff members, are welcome to join.
