Learners in Merebank school receive soccer kits
The U11 and U12 soccer team players receive soccer kits that will assist them to participate in sports.
LEARNERS from Nizam Road Primary School in Merebank have received soccer kits to help them participate more actively in sports and to promote physical fitness and teamwork.
The sponsorship follows the school’s U11 and U12 soccer teams’ victories in a recent tournament at the Badulla Drive grounds.

Community member Neil Pather said the school faces economic challenges as the young soccer stars did not have kits.
“Much appreciation and thanks to our sponsor, Into Africa and Fashion Outlets. Dillion Pillay sponsored the team with the soccer kits. Soccer is an ongoing sport played by many learners at school and club level. Most of Nizam Road Primary School learners are in these clubs,” added Pather.
