Talented bowlers need help getting to tournament

Wentworth Bowling Club will be organising a series of exciting fundraising events to ensure that the bowlers have all the resources they need to compete to the best of their ability.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club’s stellar bowlers, Troy Garland and Luvuyo Ndava, have been selected to represent the district in the Regional Quadrangular Tournament in February.

Fundraising is currently underway for the duo who will also compete at the prestigious Bowls South Africa Inter-District Tournament in March.

The talented bowlers are fundraising to get to the tournaments, and they require a minimum of R10 500 to make their dreams a reality.

Wentworth Bowling Club’s Cheryl Waterman said these dedicated players have shown unwavering commitment and passion for the sport.

“Now, we have the chance to support them on their journey to glory.

“We urge bowlers to keep an eye out for notifications about these events and participate to the best of their abilities. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a significant difference in helping our heroes achieve their goals.

“Support will not only bolster their spirits but also strengthen the sense of community that binds us together. Let’s stand behind our champions and show them the support and encouragement they deserve. Together, we can make their dreams a reality,” said Waterman.

The club will host a Trips-Any combination fundraising event on December 15.

Registration starts at 08:30. Play will commence at 09:00. Entry fee is R750 per team. Lunch will be provided.
