BotSoc hosts intriguing talk on India
Proceeds from this event go to the Botanical Education Trust.
THE Botanical Society of South Africa KZN Coastal Branch presents an unusual talk focuses on Northern India – a most fascinating part of the country which is often frenetic, at times even funny but also filthy.
The talk takes place on Sunday, 3 September from 2pm at Durban Botanic Gardens Visitors Centre, John Zikhali Road (formerly Sydenham).
With the same quirky humour as in his previous immensely popular talks, Charles Botha shows photos that most tourists would never think of taking – there are no holy cows here.
This is definitely not a standard travelogue, so be prepared for some shocks. Although it deals mainly with ‘non-touristy’ matters, it also touches on the tremendous sights for those who want to travel there or nostalgically remember their trip. Various wildlife including beautiful birds and some interesting plants are also featured.
Entrance including refreshments costs R50 for members of BotSoc and R65 for non-members; students with cards pay R35.
Pay at the door as there is no need to book. For enquiries, call 031-201-5111 or 071-869-3693 or email botsoc-kzn@mweb.co.za
