Suspects wanted for an alleged robbery, kidnapping, and murder in Orlando West
A case of murder was reported and opened at the Orlando police station after a body of a man with stab wounds and abrasions was found at Ezimbuzini informal settlement.
Four suspects are sought by the police for an alleged business robbery and kidnapping that took place in Tambo Street, Orlando West, on January 21.
According to information provided by police spokesperson Serg Nomvula Mbense, a complainant who reported the incident alleged that four men broke into his tavern in the evening and proceeded to the rear side of the premises, demanding items that his cousin allegedly stole.
“One of the suspects is known to the complainant. While inside the house, they searched and vandalised the rooms. Despite the suspects’ theft allegations, no stolen items were allegedly found,” Mbense said.

The suspects noticed that there was a camera in the premises and allegedly went to one of the rooms to disconnect it.

“They then went to the tavern area and demanded that the complainant open the burglar door. After informing them that the keys were inside the house, one of the suspects used a wire to reach the keys. An undisclosed amount of alcohol was stolen.”
Subsequently, seven males came into the premises with firearms and allegedly stole various items, including clothes, shoes, gym equipment, a sound system, and jewellery.
“The group allegedly assaulted the complainant’s cousin and took him with them against his will.”
On January 22, a case of murder was reported and opened at the Orlando Police Station after a body of a man with stab wounds and abrasions was found at the Ezimbuzini informal settlement.
The murder case was linked to the business robbery and kidnapping case reported in Orlando West.
“Cameras where the body was found were viewed and show the vehicle that dumped the body is the same one that was used in the Orlando West business robbery and kidnapping. No arrests have been made, and residents with information are urged to come report to the police.”
