Through this annual initiative across various SA municipalities, the two schools received resources that will improve their information and communication technology (ICT) labs.

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Vuma Tel, Bright Link and DFA Africa recently donated 120 tablets to Fons Luminus Secondary and 45 laptops to Fidelitas Secondary School as part of their corporate social investment (CSI) program.
Through this annual initiative across various SA municipalities, the two schools received resources that will improve their information and communication technology (ICT) labs.

“This kind gesture made us feel good because we aim to make the lives of our learners easy through access to the ICT industry, so this is a milestone for us.
“The idea is for them to use the tablets and laptops in their ICT labs, so they are safe and secure and that the next learners can also use them,” Kwadi said.
The CoJ legislature chair of chairs, Adolph Marema, said, “We are here today not merely to hand over tablets and laptops, but to hand over tools of hope, access and transformation.

“This handover is symbolic of the direction our city and nation, which must move towards a digital, inclusive, knowledge-based future that leaves no child behind.”
He stated that this partnership exemplifies a properly executed public-private partnership (PPP) and that companies surpass corporate responsibility when they share a vision for an empowered, connected, and competent society.
