These men are known for going an extra mile working with various partners in ensuring that close to 500 children go to bed with a full stomach everyday.
The Kasi Hero Foundation team doesn’t just dream; they grind hard to make the lives of Soweto residents easier against all odds.
The trio of Silas Mabunda, Tankiso Moremi, and Ndhivhuwo Liphadzi feed about 500 children from Pimville and the surrounding areas through their soup kitchen.

They work hard to also reach places outside Soweto where they provide aid, especially to people living with disabilities.

These men are known for going the extra mile, working with various partners. Recently, they received a donation from Hotslots towards the purchase of a new kitchen.
“Receiving these donations shows us that people see the work we do in communities, that what they give doesn’t go to waste, and that there are people who appreciate the effort we always put in.

“Such donations enable us to reach more people who need our assistance.
“With Old Mutual, Cell C, and Credit Guarantee, we were able to donate over 1 500 school shoes to a school in Limpopo, and two of our alumni have also received fully funded bursaries,” Mabunda said.

“We are grateful for the support we have been receiving. The community and businesses see our vision, and we are grateful that it aligns with theirs.
“A huge thank you to 100% Foundation, Hotslots, Cell C, Credit Guarantee, Old Mutual Insure, and the volunteers who give their time every week and to the residents who keep us motivated with their resilience.”
