“Fans, supporters, and communities are encouraged to actively participate in selecting this year’s winners by voting across various categories.
“Some of the featured award categories include best Zion music award, best clap n tap music award, best Imizwilili award, best Amadodana award, best apostolic music award, best indigenous music award, best choral performance award, choral group of the year, choral album of the year, and lifetime achievement award.
“The awards are proudly sponsored by Zuri Fragrance and Primeride Group, whose support continues to strengthen the platform and expand opportunities for artists within the indigenous music sector,” Mavundla said.
“As the movement continues to grow, Sounds of Azania welcomes additional sponsors and partners to collaborate in advancing this impactful initiative. The awards offer a unique platform for brands to connect with communities, celebrate cultural identity, and contribute to the development of the creative industry.
“More than an awards ceremony, CIMA is a cultural movement aimed at reviving choral music in communities and schools, empowering artists, and ensuring that indigenous sounds remain a vital part of Africa’s cultural narrative.”
