Eldorado Park Super League clash amuses fans with goal

Da Boys FC put in a stunning performance to defeat their opponents in the Eldorado Local Football Association Super League.

Da Boys FC proudly look forward to their next league clash after crushing Aaron FC 7-0 during the Eldorado Local Football Association Super League at the Ext 6 Soccer Field on March 30.

Alanzo Mckenzie opened the floodgates when he scored the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute.

They extended their lead from their own goal, demotivating the Aaron FC players and leaving them hopeless.

Shortly after the second-half whistle, Leevin Zacheus scored a brace to make it 4-0 for Da Boys, followed by additional goals from Denzel Russel, Warren Meyers and Nathaneal Ferguson.

Coach Francois Kemp of Da Boys FC said they played to their strength and several of their usual starting players.

He wished Tyrique Koeries a speedy recovery after he sustained another injury after his return from one.

“We played the ball through all the right channels. We relied heavily on the movement of our opposition and capitalised on our chances. We want to continue improving and growing as a team,” said Kemp.

Coach Aaron Dimba of Aaron FC said they drew strength from this match and will return to the planning phase.

He said the game was good. They started well, but they lost concentration after scoring a penalty. The second goal killed the players’ spirits.

“During the half-time break, it was still 2-0. I told my players we could still recover, but I was fielding U15 players.

“That is not an excuse because my senior players are in matric and writing exams. Most attend school during weekends,” Dimba continued.

“So, I had to use other players, and they were a bit scared because it was their first game playing against a senior team.”

He said the team started well in the league when the players were fully available, but since they had to focus on school, the team is taking a knock but is strategising a way forward.
