Harrison deserves another chance

By Trevor Reid

This Sarge gelding disappointed last time out over this course and distance but one can’t help feeling he is much better than that run would suggest.

Harrison had looked useful when winning over the same track and trip in September.

Stable jockey Keegan de Melo will aboard and although badly drawn at stall No 10, hopefully this will force the jockey into a positive front-running ride as it clearly suits the gelding.

The Kom Naidoo stable companions Roy Royale and Royal Lance look the biggest dangers to Harrison.

Jockey Anthony Delpech will be riding Roy Royale so we can probably assume this Australian import is the stable choice.

Roy Royale disappointed in last two starts but was not far behind the winner in both of the races and this course and distance suits.

Another Naidoo entrant Albert could possibly earn stake money as one can draw a line through his last outing. Apprentice Tristan Godden went like a scolded cat aboard Albert that day and it was no surprise Albert tired badly late.

Winter Glory and recent maiden winner Keep Your Light On are others to consider.
