MJ can shine at Kenilworth

Race 5, looks a difficult affair but do not be too surprised if Speedball pops up to win.

Popular Western Cape rider MJ Byleveld has found himself with a string of nice rides at Kenilworth today and it would be a huge disappointment if he were to come home with less than three winners from the meeting.

Trainer Vaughan Marshall knows the business of training juvenile winners so his newcomer The Secret Is Out needs to be respected in the opening event.

This Captain Al filly is very well bred and has stable jockey MJ Byleveld aboard.

Orion Quest from the Crawford stable in Race 2, was heavily supported on debut and only tired very late when third behind Shamrock Skipper over this course and distance in November.

Shamrock Skipper let the side down last week but the form has been decent enough and Orion Quest could be smarter this time.

Cape Arrow returns from a lengthy break but does appear the main rival.

Midnite Spy clearly appreciated the step up in trip last time and she drew away for a nice maiden win.

This field, Race 3, a FM 76 Handicap over 1200m is certainly a step up in class for her but in only having the six starts to date she has scope for further improvement.

More was expected from Waity Katie after she won in October but she could prove a danger over this course and distance.

Sun Power should get the winners rolling i for MJ in Race 4, a Maiden Plate over 1400m as they meet a very modest line-up.

Blinkers have been added which might get Sun Power to finish off his race.

Race 5, looks a difficult affair but do not be too surprised if Speedball pops up to win.

This AP Answer filly has cracked pole position and could get the run of the race.

Entrechat, Seventh Sister and Noisette also hold winning chances.

Another open contest awaits followers in Race 6 and once again a wide spread of runners is advisable for most exotics.

The Tripster, Midnite Zone, Glenton and Schachar are all on the shortlist.

Eighth Wonder in returns to the scene of his best win and is re-united with MJ Byleveld who rode him to that victory.

This could be the time for Eighth Wonder to bounce back to winning form.

Punters could leave the course on a winning note with Honest Ally in the last race.

The filly is holding her form well to win.
