Tuscan is ready to bounce back
It has been awhile since Tuscan has won in March, but the handicapper has slowly been dropping his mark and it could be the time to strike for the Argentinian-bred gelding and is taken to go close to winning Race5, a MR 79 divided handicap over 1400m on the Greyville Polytrack today.

This distance clearly suits Tuscan as his three wins were all around this trip. His first two wins were wins were at the Vaal and Turffontein over this distance while his other win was at Clairwood over 1450m.
The Kom Naidoo-trained five-year-old ran subsequent winner Isobar to less than a length over this course and distance in July and showed promise when fourth to good winner Samhaan last time.

The Mike de Kock trained Greatest Hits proved very disappointing last time but did have issues in the starting stalls so the run is best forgotten. He looked a promising sort by winning on debut and then finishing a close up fourth to Fully Charged.
This Right Approach gelding is sure to be backed by his supporters to win this.
African Triumph is improving with every run and the slight step up in trip should suit. Pole position draw is also a plus.
Cunning Fox and Red Rover are others who can be considered to having winning chances.
But Cunning Fox will be giving weight away to the whole field, and Red Rover is battling to find his very best form.
