As more rain is predicted overnight in Pietermaritzburg, Sunday's race meeting scheduled for Scottsville may be switched to Greyville and held on the polytrack.
However, as the polytrack can only accommodate 12 runners, two of the races will have to be adjusted.
Those affected would be the fifth race, which will have to be cut from 13 to 12 runners, and the ninth race from 16 to 12.
A final decision on the venue will be taken on Saturday at 1pm.
