Sundowns and Pirates keen on Motshwari

Sources at Mamelodi Sundowns have informed Phakaaathi that coach Pitso Mosimane is keen on getting Bidvest Wits midfielder Ben Motshwari in his squad.

We reported that Motshwari is one of the players Downs are trying to lure to Pretoria. However, Orlando Pirates are also chasing the midfielder’s signature.

“He has two choices now, he will choose which club he wants to sign, but the Sundowns coach wants him. He really likes how he plays,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Mosimane says although he may, at times, get frustrated with fixture congestion, he would rather have it that way than play once a week.

“I don’t want to play Saturday to Saturday, no, but I have got big responsibilities and we have to build a legacy. If we don’t want to be in that position, then we should not go to the Champions League finals, we should not go to the Super Cup final, we should not go to the MTN8 final, we should not go to the Fifa Club World Cup because then we have got enough days to rest,” he said.
