Doctor Khumalo snubs the media

Kaizer Chiefs legend and former assistant coach Doctor Khumalo snubbed the media during the Bafana Class of 1996 induction to the South African Hall of Fame at Sun City.

The Bafana legend told the media that he does not speak to them unless it is pre-arranged.

“No, I don’t do interviews unless they are pre-arranged,” said Doctor who was one of the stars of the 1996 team who won the Caf Africa Cup of Nations.

Khumalo was last week announced as Baroka FC’s technical director after his sudden resignation from Chiefs.

Phakaaathi sources have however claimed that Khumalo would have left the club even if he had not landed the job with Baroka.

“He was not happy. He felt disrespected as a club legend with so much experience and I think Baroka came just at the right time for him,” said the source.
