Covid-19 has dealt Ajax a heavy hand

The streets of Cape Town would probably be red and white right now had it not been for the ugly, uninvited and unwanted visitor to our country named coronavirus, or Covid-19.

The deadly disease has spread quite sporadically, with the number of infections now nearing 20,000. The outbreak has paused the country's economic activity and every other activity, including our beloved game of football. It has been a hard two months without any action, and it hurts. But I believe it hurts more for the players and clubs who eke out their living through the game. By this time – had things been normal – the Urban Warriors would have been crowned GladAfrica Championship winners and made their return to the Absa Premiership. I know, you will think I am making...
