Seema happy with a point

Bloemfontein Celtic interim coach Lehlohonolo Seema was pleased to have walked away with a point against SuperSport United.

Siwelele and Matsatsantsa played to a goalless stalemate at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Free State outfit dented Matsatsantsa’s title hope further and Seema says he is happy that his players put on a great fight.

“We are very happy with a point, sometimes teams would come to SuperSport and would come with zero points,” Seema told SuperSport TV after the game.

“Today we fought till the last minute, forcing SuperSport to play route one and getting every tall player in our box and they were even thinking putting Tefu Mashamaite but luck wasn’t on their side.”

Seema, who is in charge of Phunya Sele-Sele while their new appointed coach Luc Eymael is fighting with his former employers Polokwane City over contract disputes, will have to ensure that the team gets out of the relegation zone with five more games remaining.

Celtic are now three points clear of the relegation zone with 25 points in their bag while they sit on 12th spot on the log.

Meanwhile, SuperSport are on 42 points, nine points behind log leaders Bidvest Wits.
