Manyisa upbeat ahead of Nedbank Cup final

Orlando Pirates skipper Oupa Manyisa is adamant that they will do their utmost best to ensure that they win the Nedbank Cup final against SuperSport United.

The final is set to be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

“We are all feeling good and ready to play,” said the Pirates skipper.

“We haven’t won a trophy in a while and this is our chance to lift some silverware.

“We have to strive for positive results on the day and match SuperSport in every possible way during the match. It won’t be easy, but we want this trophy.”

The teams meet for the second successive time in the final of the tournament, with SuperSport being crowned champions following a 3-2 victory at the Peter Mokaba last year.

Going into this tie, many would suggest Pirates are looking for revenge, but Ace, as Manyisa is affectionately known in football circles disagrees.

“We are not thinking about the past, this is a new game. We just want to win the cup so that our supporters have something to shout about.”
