Another former Chiefs striker spotted at Wits training

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Stanton Lewis has become the latest player to join Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits at training.

The 30-year-old striker joins the likes of Camaldine Abraw and Franklin Cale at the Students’ training grounds in Sturrock Park.

Lewis suffered a long-term injury in 2013.

He came back in January to train with the University of Pretoria, but was never offered a contract there after failing to impress coach Shaun Bartlett.

Lewis, who started his professional football career at Ajax Cape Town in 2005, has also played for Ajax Amsterdam, AmaZulu, Golden Arrows and Chippa United in his long career.
