Sundowns still keen on Brockie

Mamelodi Sundowns appear to have not given up on their pursuit of SuperSport United striker Jeremy Brockie.

This is despite that fact that Matsatsantsa CEO Stan Matthews has already come out to say that the New Zealand marksman is not for sale at any price.

However, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says good players like Brockie do not come easy and the club has to push harder to get him.

“We are pushing in the next few days. For a transfer you need to push until the end,” Mosimane told reporters after his side’s 2-0 win over SuperSport on Saturday.

“Barcelona have to push to get [Phillipe] Coutinho and [Ousmane] Dembele – they don’t come easy.

“The marksman scores goals, he doesn’t dribble. We have enough dribblers, the marksman is there to shoot. He is a sniper.”

It remains to be seen if Sundowns will land their man, or if Matsatsantsa will turn down their neighbours’ offer for the striker.
