Khune could play for Bafana on Friday

Bafana Bafana team manager Barney Kujane says the specialist who assessed Itumeleng Khune has declared the goalkeeper’s injury as not too serious.

Kujane says Khune will only need a few days to heal, and should be available for selection.

In an interview with Lesedi FM on Wednesday morning, Kujane further said the team doctor would continue assessing the shot-stopper.

“He is currently in camp, the specialist he saw says the injury is not that serious, and he will be okay in the next couple of days,” said Kujane.

“But as you know Khune, he insists that he is okay, and he wants to play.”

Bafana meet Senegal in a Fifa 2018 World Cup qualifier match at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday.
