Sandilands calls on Pirates to do better

Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands says Bucs were not at their best during their 1-0 loss to SuperSport United at the Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday night.

The shot-stopper believes that they need to step up their game so that they could end the campaign on a strong note.

“It was quite disappointing. I don’t think we were quite good enough today….we gave the ball away, gave too many turn overs and SuperSport are a very good team on transition and good on counter attack,” Sandilands told SuperSport TV.

“Disappointing because of the performance, yes, the result didn’t go our way but we know we have to do better. We have to make sure that we regroup and finish the season strong.”

Following the result, Bucs remain third on log standings with 33 points after 20 games, four points behind log leaders Bidvest Wits.

Aftr the Pirates win, Matsatsana climbed to fourth spot on the table with 32 points from 20 games.
