This is the fourth time in the last five seasons that the stadium has been chosen as the host venue for this competition.

It is also the second successive season that Moses Mabhida Stadium has been chosen, having hosted last season’s final between Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates.

Cape Town City will be the home team and Sundowns will be the away side following a draw that was conducted in Sandton on Thursday.

The Citizen reached the final after beating Swallows FC in the semifinal and AmaZulu in the quarterfinals. Sundowns, on the other side,  beat Kaizer Chiefs in the quarters, before overpowering Golden Arrows in the last four to book their place in the final.
