The MTN8 final is set to played on 30 October in a venue yet to be announced by the League.

The was a lot of excitement from the fans when 2000 of them were allowed to attend Tuesday’s Fifa World Cup qualifier between Bafana Bafana and Ethiopia at FNB Stadium.

Many were thinking that the PSL will follow suit and allow them to attend the league fixtures this coming weekend. The PSL, however, says fans will still not be allowed to attend league games.

In a statement issued by the League following an executive meeting on Wednesday, the PSL said Covid protocols still limit attendance “to 165 persons required at the match”.

The League further stated that they are targeting the MTN final “as the ideal match to test the protocols that will be put in place”.
