Baxter pleads with Jali to maintain form

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter wants new Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali to show the committed he had in Europe in the Absa Premiership.

Jali returned to the South Africa to join Sundowns after spending four years playing for KV Oostende in Belgium.

Baxter says Jali shouldn’t be complacent because of all that he has achieved during his time in Europe.

“When players come back from abroad‚ there are two scenarios,” Baxter told reporters.

“One is they come back, and they show everybody in South Africa why they were one of the players playing abroad.

“Or they come back, and they think that the South African league is not good enough for them.

“I’m hoping that Andile will come back and show everybody why he was abroad with his attitude and his contribution to the league here.”
