Billiat reveals why he delayed signing new contract  

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khama Billiat says he has left signing a contract to the last minute because he wants to make the best decision for his future.


Billiat in turning 28 this year and this could be last big money contract he signs.

“I have to go back to my manager and see what he has for me before I make the right decision – for my family and everyone who supports me,” Billiat told SABC Sport.

“Hopefully I will make them happy and make myself happy too. It is a very important one.

“That is why I had to delay everything up until the last minute and make sure I’m sitting on the right contract that is going to take me to everything that I wished for.

“Unfortunately, I cannot make everyone happy.”
