Bucs ship on the right course – Micho

By Tshepo Ntsoelengoe

The Serbian coach added that Pirates are on a good road to get there and erase their dismal memories of last season.

This follows after the Buccaneers went on a five-game unbeaten streak after beating Cape Town City 1-0 at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night. The Buccaneers have accumulated 11 points in the league thus far, having registered three victories and two draws.

“We are working hard to do something that the supporters expect. They are expecting to see not only a goal but goals. We want to work and be more effective in front of goals and to kill off the game,” said the Bucs mentor.

“Our supporters are not called happy people by accident. We want to make them as happy as possible as much as we can. We really want to turn the corner after last season.

“We are still very far away from where we want to go, but we are simply on a good road.”

With the positive start for Bucs since the 2017/2018 Absa Premiership season began in August, Micho lauded everyone involved at the club for the support but stressed the point that he wants the team to play much better than they are at the moment.

“I want to give credit to the players and the technical team. We have worked very hard with all other support from the management,” he added.

The Buccaneers will be looking to keep their winning momentum when they face defending league champions Bidvest Wits at the Bidvest Stadium on Saturday.
