Chiefs players ready for the ‘game of their lives’

Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker says Saturday’s Nedbank Cup final against TS Galaxy gives them the last chance to win silverware this season.

Chiefs are set to meet  Galaxy in the final at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.

“It is important (to win the cup). It is the perfect opportunity and it is the game of our lives,” said Parker. “It is an opportunity to heal the scars that has been done unto everybody who is with the club.

“It doesn’t matter how we play this weekend, what matters is we must win the trophy. We are more under pressure than our opponents, it is for us now to take that pressure and turn it into motivation.”

With Chiefs having already released five players before the end of the season, Parker insists that the players are not thinking about their futures, but are focusing on winning the Nedbank Cup this Saturday.

“Let’s get this one in the bag and the club will made a decision on what the future should be like. But the main focus is for us to achieve our goal.”
