Costs of Moses Mabhida Stadium damage revealed
The cost of the damage to Moses Mabhida after fan violence on Saturday night was R2.6 million.

This was confirmed by EThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede on Wednesday morning.

Kaizer Chiefs lost to Free State Stars 2-0 in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup, the outcome of the match left a lot of fans angry and resulted in the pitch invasion, causing damage to the stadium.

The Mayor condemned the violence at the stadium on Saturday.

Gumede said what happened at the Moses Mabhida Stadium is a bad reflection of South Africa.
