Ertugral tips Samuels to be like the late Scara Ngobese

Ajax Cape Town coach Muhsin Ertugral believes Samuel Julies could be as good as former Kaizer Chiefs midfield wizard Emmanuel 'Scara' Ngobese.

Ertugral, a self-proclaimed admirer of the 26-year-old Julies whom he signed from Chippa United and handed him his debut against his former club Mamelodi Sundowns, says Julies could end up being South Africa’s most adored midfielders.

“I am a long-time follower of Julies. He is a good player and I am happy that he is with us,” Ertugral told reporters.

“He might be different when he is playing at the No 10 position because that is where he scores goals. That position would make him (play like) Scara if he had what Scara had on the left foot” he added.

The former Orlando Pirates mentor continued: “A couple of years ago I wanted to have him (in my team). For me he is a very good player, but he is not a winger. Obviously sometimes there’s a possibility that he might need to adjust to that.”
