Baroka FC have completed the signing of former Maritzburg United goalkeeper Virgil Vries on a two-year deal.

Vries was released by the Team of Choice at the end of last season, but has managed to find a home at Bakgaga.
The Namibian-born goalkeeper is likely to become the first choice keeper at Baroka, as Oscarine Masuluke was often benched towards the end of last season after reports emerged that he could move to another team.
Vries is said to have been surprised to learn that United had decided against renewing his contract considering that he finished the season as the first choice keeper for the team last season.
