Helman Mkhalele’s mother passes on
Former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates midfielder Helman Mkhalele’s mother has died, the South African Football Association has announced.

Safa president Danny Jordaan says Mkhalele, who is currently in Zambia with Amajita for the Cosafa Youth Championships has asked to stay in Zambia for the remainder of the tournament.
Amajita are set to meet Egypt in the semi-finals of the competition on Thursday.
“Mkhalele has told me that he wants to remain with the squad until after the tournament and then join the mourners on either Sunday or Monday. He says the older brothers back home can in the meantime to take charge of funeral arrangements,” Jordaan told the Safa website.
Mkhalele’s mother was 83.
