There have been persistent rumours which suggest Maritzburg United coach Fadlu Davids is being monitored by a number of clubs who want to poach him, he has come out and made it clear that he is going nowhere.

Phakaaathi understands that Davids’ name is among those considered by SuperSport United and Baroka FC after he made a name for himself guiding the Team of Choice to a fourth place finish in the Absa Premiership and reaching the Nedbank Cup final in his first full season in charge.

A source has also claimed that Cape Town City could swop for the 36-year-old to replace Benni McCarthy should he decide to take up the job with SuperSport.
“I am staying with Maritzburg. I have made that clear. I am not thinking of going anywhere. The fans here should be assured that I will still be here next season. I have even started planning for next season because my mind is still here,” said Davids this week.
