Katsande lauds Baloyi’s attitude

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has praised Lucky Baloyi for his commitment and positive attitude despite not starting regularly for Amakhosi.

Baloyi has not commanded a regular starting place at Chiefs since the start of the season.

Katsande’s regular central midfield partner George Maluleka was suspended for the game against Highlands Park which saw the 25-year-old made his fourth start of the season at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“Lucky performed well against Highlands Park on Saturday, it shows that he has been waiting for his chance and he grabbed it,” Katsande told Vodacom Soccer.

“Look, due to stiff competition for a starting berth in the team’s midfield, he has been struggling for game time. But his high work rate, commitment and positive attitude is what keeps him going in the team’s squad.

“Instead of being demoralised and developing a negative attitude, Lucky keeps on pushing and putting more hard work in every training session. I like his attitude and patience.”

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, Baloyi’s contract at Chiefs was extended by two more years.
