Matlaba ready to quit Orlando Pirates

Thabo Matlaba could make his move away from Orlando Pirates, where he has been frustrated for the past six months as he has not been getting game time.

The left back was set for a loan spell at Chippa United at the beginning of the season but he refused to leave and opted to stay and fight for his place.

But despite getting to play a few games earlier he has not been part of the team in recent months and sources have revealed that he could be on his way out.

“His people are trying to get him a deal elsewhere and as an experienced left back he should not struggle to find a team who need his services. But it has to be a stable team where he can finish his career,” said the source.

Phakaaathi understands that SuperSport United, Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs are some of the team that have been approached by his management.
